About the Mini Grants
| The Ritonya Buscher Poehling teacher grant
fund is proud to be a small part of the education system providing
teachers an opportunity to pursue their ideas to better the teaching
profession. The mini-grant program to school for education development
and innovation will be available for any teacher and school in the
Metropolitan Omaha Area. Our Foundation will award twenty $250 grants and seven $1,000 grants to teachers in the Metropolitan Omaha area for classroom projects this school year. As we enter our 23rd year of providing teacher grants, we have funded 503 grants for the totla amount of $150,000.00 ! We urge you to take advantage of this opportunity to add to your students' curriculum for a project that will provide fun and a great learning experience. The teacher mini grants are to be an expanding source of funds for small but important teacher based projects that are often neglected by the traditional foundations and corporations. The grant is designed to encourage innovation, development, and improvements in the education of our Omaha area children. Twenty of the grants are limited to $250.00 and seven of them will be available for $1,000. Additional monies will be available later for follow-up requests on the initial grant upon committee approval.
